Multi-Mod Manager Disconnects Wii Controller on Launch

Apologizies in advance if this is in the wrong area of the forum...

I have successfully installed the Multi-Mod Manager, and it launches properly. Once in the menu, the four blue indicators (player 1-4) all begin flashing in sync, and the remote is unresponsive. If I wait for about 15 seconds or so, a star-field scrolls up from the bottom, and stays on until I hit the reset button on the console. I am using a Wii MotionPlus Controller, unfortunately all of mine have Motion Plus so I can't test the previous generation. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Use Wii Mod.
