I love CFG USB Loader. It's by far by favourite since I've gotten a USB HDD. It loads all my backups perfectly and fast. Small notice about the guide Krank, the Fowarder Channel is a bit dated. You have v6 there but v9 is the latest.

This forwarder seems to work for everyone. A few people reported issues with the new ones. Plus the minor changes to the channels aren't worth updating for in my oppinion.

I still use pepxl's hybrid forwarder, I like that one the most. I don't understand why use an IOS58 forwarder.

It's faster if loading from a USB drive.

Isn't the only speed increase up until the loader loads the cIOS, which terminates any IOS58 and AHBPROT functions?

I tried an IOS58 + AHBPROT forwarder, I didn't see much difference, and my daughter likes the older forwarder, so until I see a noticeable difference, our favorite forwarder stays. I've been using that forwarder for so long, it seems like part of the loader, lol, and wouldn't be the same without it.

Has nothing to do with AHBPROT. IOS 58 is for USB2 support. If the forwarder is loading Cfg from a USB drive VS an SD card it's faster when using IOS58. Regardless of cIOS the forwarder still uses an IOS to load unless you purposely change that.

There is no point in using anything AHBPROT enabled when using a Loader that runs from cIOS.
