    Brick FIX Any Wii Guide

    Draft
Oh SHIT! You bricked your wii.

I still have some work, but I intend to compile all known bricks types and recovery's here. Perhaps this weekend, or next week. I don't know, I am working on it, and it will be here first.

So you bricked your wii. First you should know that you probably did something really stupid, try not to do it again. This guide will cover the various ways to recover from most brick types, and give examples of many common wii bricks, hopefully helping you fix your wii.

Chapter 1- Can your wii be fixed?-

    Your only options!!!

Chapter 2- Launching the Hackmii installer
The first part of this guide will be install bootmii, HBC and make a nand backup. You will make the nand backup with bootmii. This ensures that you have bootmii installed, and if your recovery goes south you will have your nand keys should you need to reprogram the wiis nand. When complete you should be in the HBC and ready to do the next step of your fix.

    Load Hackmii via System Menu-

    Load Hackmii installer via Priiloader/Preloader

Load Hackmii installer via Boot2 bootmii

Load Hackmii installer via Maintenance Mode

Load Hackmii installer via Recovery Menu

Part 2- Install The HomeBrew Channel and Bootmii
Read the Scam warning and press 1
It may take a minute or two for the "press 1" to appear- be patient
    Install the HomeBrew Channel
Install Bootmii as Boot2(boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)
    Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios", DO THIS

Part 3- Make A NAND Backup (NOT Optional, do this,)
Load HBC, press -HOME-, launch Bootmii
    Make a nand backup
Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use gc-controller)
Power = Right, Eject = Left, Reset = Select
Once the backup is complete, exit bootmii to HBC
Backup your Bootmii files to your PC
    sd:\bootmii
    sd:\nand.bin
    sd:\key.bin
    *DO NOT LOSE THESE FILES*
If you want to load bootmii again at a later date, copy the bootmii folder back to sd:\

Chapter 3- Fixing your brick type
This section will describe all brick types known to me, and how to fix them.

Wii boots to the system menu-

Wii boots to an error message-

    Wii boots to black screen-

Can you find a fix for my reported 3.2k wii? I will send it to you if you think you can figure something out even though I know the chances are slim to nothing without the private key.

A semi bricked Korean wii can not be fixed without nand reprogramming. The language set to Korean prevents the system menu from loading. The region set to Korean prevents the USA menu from loading disc. It will not load anything, USA game, Korean Game, USA disc update, Korean Disc update, Recovery disc, nothing, when the region is set to Korean on a USA menu, the wii does not even seem to try to load a disc. I have tested and tried everything I can think of the fix 3.2-4.2KOR semi brick, it is very bad.
Perhaps with some very special modified disc with some unknown region code would work, I don't know. But as it is now, it can't be fixed.

    lucky me, i got the Wii_3.2 Opera-bricked, finally !
it turns on, but take longer than normal delay (~5 seconds) to pop up the screen which, perhaps, is the OPERA error page without the H&S warning displayed. wiimote sync normally.
going to hv fun these days...

You'll need a preconfigured modchip that can autoboot games, an GC controller, and a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. You can load Multi-Mod Manager via Smash Stack from your SD card, then re-install the System Menu. Once that's done follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide on this site so you have decent brick protection.
