Goddamn Laptop!! Black Screen, Shutoffs, WTF!!

My HP laptop. couple years old.
I leave it on and plugged in 24hrs a day. Shut her down when I'm not *cough* seeding *cough*, which is rare.
I have woken up 2 days in a row now with it shut off. When I turn it on, I see the msg about it not being shut down correctly and safe mode and all that. Also randomly when I go to 'wake it up' from sleep mode, my screen is blacked out and I need to restart it to get the screen back.
Maybe it needs to be cleaned of dust or something? Can I see the temperature history of something? Can I find out why it's happening?

Don't use compressed air on a laptop. It just pushes the dust farther back in. If you have a small nozzle for your vacuum cleaner, use that around the vents and keyboard. You might be able to pull some dust out. Also make sure it's properly ventilated. Never keep a laptop on something that isn't a hard flat surface. The majority of the vents on pretty much any laptop is on the bottom, so if you put it on a blanket or something, it's just going to heat up.

Which is immediately what I thought. Namyarb3 if you want to see the temperature you can download coretemp. I use it to keep track of the temperature and see if its overheating.
