    Wii remote sync, how to.

How to sync your Wii remote to your Nintendo Wii console.

Have you ever wondered how to sync or synchronize a Wii remote to your console? Do you have a remote that won't connect and you want to reconnect it? It's easy a 1-2-3.

To permanently sync your Wii remote to your Wii follow the below steps.

    1. Remove the battery cover on the back of your Wii remote. If you have a rechargeable battery then you will have to find something such as a toothpick to place in the hole on the back of the remote (but not yet).
    2. Open the SD slot cover on the face of the Wii. It looks like a little trap door. You can't miss it.
    3. With your Wii powered on, either at the Health and Safety screen or at the menu, press the red button located under the SD slot cover.
    4. Press the red button under the battery cover on the Wii remote. If you have a rechargeable battery then insert the toothpick or similar in the hole and press the button.
    5. Wait a couple of seconds and the remote should sync. If it doesn't then replace the battery's and try again.

To temporarily sync your Wii remote to your Wii follow the below steps. (This option is for those who might take their remote to a friends house to play)
    1. Start the game you wish to play.
    2. Press the menu button and select "Wii Remote Settings".
    3. Select "Reconnect"
    4. Follow the on screen instructions by pressing "1" and "2" Simultaneously on EACH remote starting with player 1.
    5. Wait for the remotes to connect and then press "B", "Close Wii Remote Settings" and then select "Close" from the top of the screen.
    6. Enjoy your game.

Note: This method must be repeated each time the Wii is turned off.

    LOL. I wouldn't lie.

Me and about 7 of my close friends always have our own get-together/sleep-over things every once in a while. Always the same group of us, every few months and it's been a habit for us to do so for the last 3 years. The first time we had a Wii at one of these and one of us bought extra Wii Motes, it took 15 minutes for us to figure out how to sync (I didn't own a Wii at the time so just watched).
