    patchimage 3.0 is released

Patchimage is a riivolution patchscript for GNU/Linux.

Based on DMMs and Wiimms excellent work, I’ve created a flexible patchscript for GNU/Linux. Additionally to riivolution patches, this one will also allow patching ROMs using ips/ppf patches. And more. patchimage allows choosing a custom GAMEID, aswell as downloading riivolution-files, patches and soundtrack (if available).

NOTE: don’t fiddle around with sub-folders in riivolution-files, the script uses files as “unzip” creates them. No need to modify whatever.

… Well, you need the original game to do this legally, if you don’t you suck.

    Supported Games

New Super Marios Bros. 3: The Final Levels [SLF?01]
    Newer SMBW (riivolution) [SMN?03]
    Cannon SMBW (riivolution) [SMN?04]
    Another SMBW (riivolution) [SMN?05]
    Newer Summer Sun (riivolution) [SMN?06]
    Newer Holiday Special (riivolution) [SMN?07]
Epic Super Bower World (riivolution) [SMN?08]
    Koopa Country (riivolution) [SMN?10]
New Super Mario Bros. 4 (riivolution) [SMN?11]
Super Mario: Mushroom Adventure PLUS – Winter Moon [SMM?02]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii Retro Remix (riivolution) [MRR?01]
The Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds (ips)

For more informations like command-line parameters and such, refer to the included README and README.RC.

German users can find detailed information in the Wiiki.

License: GPL 3 (bundled software: wit (GPL 2), unp (GPL 2), uips (GPL 3), xml-patches (Public Domain), applyppf3 (Public Domain))

Thanks for the link Stomp, it leads to the ver. 4.0 now, with support for even more mods and bugfixes. Only thing is I don't have any Linux OS installed on this machine and I see no way to get a version compatible with Windows.. is it just me being a noob or must it be compiled to work with Win7? If u have some free time can u help me?

Definitely won't work in CLI for Windows as I went through the documentation and all commands are for terminal, plus I tried it in command prompt anyway just cuz I was desperate. I actually hope it's something simple and I just missed the damn link for a .exe binary or something.

Maybe this could be used with a Linux live distro? In terms of the guy having a machine without Linux installed.

Yea you're right that's prob the simplest fix, I have a couple of linux distro's laying around, opensuze, mint, knoppix. I guess it's time to bust these bad boys out again, might as well go ahead and make my PC a multi-boot system while I'm at it. Thx guys.

The latest version of PatchImage is 5.0.1, and supports compiling a few more customs, and patching some games, but not all, to make them use Wiimmfi, which is a Nintendo Wi Fi Connection emulator.
By the way, I added covers on GameTDB for most of the customs it can compile.

Yesterday I've released version 5.4.0. You can check it out here: http://nanolx.org/wiihomebrew/patchimage

If you speak german, you'll find a full documentation in the Wiiki: http://wiiki.wii-homebrew.com/Patchimage -- else check out the supplied REAMDE.* files.

You should send him a PM. He doesn't visit the forums regularly.
