[GUIDE] How to unblock a DS flashcart with Cubic Ninja (9.2 or below)

I am not responsible for any damages caused to your 3DS. Follow at your own risk.

If your flash cart stopped being supported, but you updated your 3DS anyway, there is a way to revert two of the titles on your NAND, letting you run it again. This will modify your NAND.

Read the instructions once before starting, then follow them step-by-step. Unless specified otherwise, instructions are not suggestions. They are instructions.

No mention a NAND backup for that just in case moment? Or is this not that risky? Nice guide by the way.

This has been done for a long time, but always with a 3DS flash cart instead of PastaCFW, with no mention of anything going wrong.

The two files being replaced are the DS cart whitelist and DSi firmware. Worst case scenario (and I'm not even positive this is possible), you install corrupt versions and lose DS functionality. In that case, you just install new versions at a higher version number (54322 for example) and get it back.

I made the warning at the top super big so people don't miss it. You need to use Pasta CFW (through Cubic Ninja) to load even original NDS games after this.

Edit: Actually, turns out the above statement isn't true. I'm going to continue lying to people to scare them off until I can write instructions for undoing the process.

I updated the guide. It now has a secondary method that doesn't require Cubic Ninja each time.

By the way, we need a guide for making NAND backups.

I've updated the guide again. With the latest FBI update, the "convenient" method is now safe, so I got rid of the old one.

You should back up the titles in this guide.
