Samsung Galaxy S4 always on speaker phone

Ever since I upgraded to a high capacity battery, all calls are on speaker phone by default. I've made sure that hands free mode is disabled, and "Auto start speakerphone" in S Voice. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Too snug where it's physically pressing against something that may be forcing it on (mechanically-speaking, obviously not hardware). I have an old Motorola Atrix HD I added a high capacity battery to. If you don't slide it all the way down into the lower portion of the battery holder, it extends the separation between front and back and causes the speaker not to function. While that's not the same thing, the point is valid nonetheless in check the physical as well.

It randomly started working again. My phone has been acting really weird lately. Today it switched to military time on its own. It was an easy fix, but it's annoying.

Do you want me to stop controlling it from here?? J/k but did you do something "unofficial" and there's a possibility someone is messing with it? The battery might be a coincidence?

The battery is the only thing I've changed. Nightstah may have been right about the screen though. I had to get a new case to fit the giant battery (my phone is now over twice the depth), so maybe it was pressing against the edges. I went to a party yesterday and took off the case to show people how far it stuck out.
