    wow i never use safty glasses with my angle grinder but maybe i should start

    Definitely! It's not uncommon for an occasional cutoff wheel to fail. I've had similar situations, onetime it took out my hat! Even wearing safety glasses it was scary. If I wasn't wearing the hat it would have been in my head or face. Always use caution and try to think of what ifs to reduce your chances of injury!

    I do a lot of cutting and welding. I used to use a 7" for cutting most things until I got my plasma cutter. but the 4 1/2's I have are much safer.
