[Guide] How to Play PSX Games on your PSP!

This guide is to tell you how to use Popsloader, how to rip your PSX games, and how to convert your PSX games to PSP eboots. I hope you enjoy this guide, as I much as I enjoyed playing Final Fantasy 7 on my PSP.

PLEASE NOTE: The progam we are using is called RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00 and that is because all other programs require an base eboot and keys.bin, and I do not wish to fandoogle with it and the issues around it. RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00 does not require the said files.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES TO YOUR PSP OR LOST FILES!

YOU MUST OWN THE GAMES THAT YOU WANT TO PLAY. NO EXCEPTIONS!

YOU MUST FULLY READ THE GUIDE BEFORE YOU ASK ANY QUESTIONS!

DO NOT QUOTE THE ENTIRE GUIDE IN YOUR QUESTION, OR I WILL IGNORE YOU!

ANOTHER NOTE: I use notes a lot in this guide, they just tell you what may/what i noticed.

A THIRD NOTE: I say .bin's for the entire guide, but you do not have to use .bin's, you can use .iso's or any other files you have.

    Requirements

Files that we are going to use

    Ripping your PSX games

    Turning your .bin's into eboots!

    Installing POPSloader

    Whats this POPSLoader doohicky do?

    I don't like the X of RS-GUI PopStationMD v3.00

    Thanks to:

I tried to do it the old way once, it seemed so confusing, looking at the list of games and the OFW the game worked with. Needless to say, I never did get a psx game on my psp. Maybe this tutorial will help me. I have a dozen or so psx games that I ripped with IMGburn to test with WiiSX, I'll give this a try and let you know how it goes.

Hey I didn't see this pop up earlier. Thanks LiNkZoR. I tried to do this with my FF7 discs sometime last year and failed at it. If I can find them again I'll give this a go.

Maybe you guys would know, i picked the program i did because it did not require two files that some places say they cannot link. One of the programs that uses them is a little easier to use, but i did not know if i could include a DL with them. I didn't want people to go on a wild goosehunt to find two necesary files. Although some people may have errors with the .dll's ill beable to upload the program with them in it in a week or two.
Edit: The two files im talking about are the base.pbp and keys.bin

I might check this out. I don't know much about PSP's but a friend might sell his to me PSP-1001K to me for $50 - $65. Pretty good since I don't have to pay all those customs and shipping stuff. It's in great condition. Not sure how hackable it is. I'm guessing since it's old, it'll be pretty hackable.

All psp 1000's are hackable. Unless your friend fried the mobo and replaced it with a newer one.
If you want, i can walk you through getting the best CFW on your PSP, if i don't finish another guide by the time you get it.

I changed it up a bit. Uploaded files to my mediafire account. Added missing .dll's.

im a noob...what is the recovery menu?

Step Three: remove your PSP from the computer, make sure that POPSloader is activated in your recovery menu.
What exactly is the recovery menu mentioned here, and how do i make sure popsloader is activated in it.

(My psp is 6.60 and has prob10hen thanks to whiteshadowfoxs guide)

You should have POPS support already, no need for the plugin.
